Curse Of Osiris Is A Thing Now

Though there wasn’t too much doubt in the possibility of Destiny 2’s DLC Curse of Osiris since it already had a listing on the official store, recent confirmation by Bungie’s marketing director Eric Osborne removes any doubt about it being a leak as many people thought it was.

These also confirms some of the reports that suggested that the first DLC of Destiny 2 will take players to Mercury, since the Xbox One listing for the DLC indeed states that it will take players to the first planet in our solar system for an Osiris-centric story.

“Destiny 2 Expansion I: Curse of Osiris continues your Guardian’s journey with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mercury,” the official description reads. “Journey through time and space to learn the secrets of Osiris, avert a dark future, and rebuild the ties between the legendary Warlock and his greatest student–Ikora Rey.”

Apart from this, there’s also a feature list provided that gives a rough idea on what the combat will be. Players will be able to visit an area known as the Infinite Forest that has been referred to in the main game and get some new gear and Crucible maps.
  • Explore Mercury and its mysterious “Infinite Forest”
  • New story missions and adventures
  • New themed weapons, armor, and gear to earn
  • New cooperative activities
  • New competitive multiplayer arenas
  • And more

Unfortunately there’s no word on a release date for the listing but official announcement by Bungie and Activision will hopefully get that straight. In other (and more popular) news, the Luke Smith gives an explanation on why shaders are one-time-use in Destiny 2.
