Word On Pricing Out Next Year!

Darkest Dungeon has already managed to bring an amazing expansion called the Crimson Court along with a few unoffical mods made by the fans. The developer (Red Hook Studios) has now added a new ‘The Color of Madness’ DLC which releases on Spring 2018.

It features aliens in a manner similar to those in War of the Worlds by Jeff Wayne. Those extraterrestrials have crashed on Miller’s farm on the outskirts of hamlet. Those who were close to the site were instantly blinded by the impact. According to the dev’s blog post, this has made a new enemy faction who are hell bent on “spreading the all-consuming influence of the Comet’s light.” It sounds good when you think about it but the word ‘enemy faction’ does mean that there’s more to it.

“Get lost in time and space as you confront unending waves of enemies, new and old, pushing ever closer to the crash site of the Comet,” the post adds. “Survive as long as you can stomach, and compare your highest kill count with friends and rivals alike … The husks of the Miller and his farmhands roam the area around the windmill, spreading the all-consuming influence of the Comet’s light.”

It also brings along ‘Comet Shards’ which can be used to buy new stuff that have powerful functionality from the Nomad Wagon.

There’s no specifics provided on the date right now. The developers do mention that its due in Spring 2018 with pricing information being revealed early next year.
