Fortnite Battle Royale Is Coming To Smartphones

Take The Fortnite PvP Action With You Wherever You Go!

Fortnite Battle Royale was undoubtedly one of the most popular games of this year. After all, who doesn’t like an awesome multiplayer PvP game that’s free? Fortunately, the fun doesn’t end there. The official twitter account, along with Epic Game’s blog post suggests that the game will be getting an iOS version soon, with an Android version sometime after that.

“On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac,” said the development team in the blog post. “ Same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates.”

These versions will be supporting cross-play, and your account progress will be maintained if you’re already playing it on PC or consoles.

Opinion time: It’s no secret that consoles aren’t really good for games since it can’t provide the accuracy of a mouse. The smartphone version will probably make use of auto aim.

In the next few months, the company will be allowing a select number of players into the game. This a part of their invite event process which you can opt for by getting on their email list through registering on the game’s official website. You’ll be able to share the invite code with your friends if you get one. This starts on 12th March (Monday).

Getting a full-fledged version of the game seems pretty ambitious, but certainly not impossible.

“We believe this is the future of games,” the developer wrote. “The same game on all platforms. Console quality graphics and action. Play when you want, where you want.”
