Xbox 360’s Version of Halo Games Can Now be Enjoyed on Your Xbox One With Free DLC

While Halo: The Master Chief Collection was a good way to enjoy all of the games in the popular First Person Shooter series for the Xbox One, if you want to pick the ones you want to play, then now’s a good time as Microsoft recently added four more games to its backwards compatibility library.

These are (you guessed it) games from the Halo collection ; Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3: ODST, Halo 3 and Halo 4 can be played on your Xbox one as a part of Microsoft’s backwards compatibility program for the console. Each individual game comes with the entire campaign, multiplayer modes and DLC packs: all of which are accessible for free. You can play by either putting an Xbox 360 disc into your Xbox one or just downloading the digital copy.

But if the original ones are available for free, why go for the master collection in the first place, right? Well, the master collection does have a few things going for it like improved version of all of the four games listed along with a completely remastered version of Halo 2. So, you’re basically paying for better graphics when you for the Master Chief collection plus remastered Halo 2 but of course, if you have recently spent your money buying the popular releases of 2017 like Destiny 2 then you can enjoy the free versions as well.
